If you have a blog that gets a lot of comments, you might be finding that logging into your blog's administration panel to moderate comments has become a bit of a laborious process. If your blog runs on the WordPress platform and is self-managed, you might like to check out the Moderator plugin and associated Adobe Air desktop application.

The concept here is straightforward: install the plugin on your blog, then follow the instructions to install the Air application on your Windows or Mac machine. From there, you get a nice quick application from which to review comments and either approve, delete, or mark them as spam.

I'm still waiting for a blogging client that includes all the following:

• RSS aggregator
• commenting within aggregator
• blog editor
• comment moderator

NBC has given a full season order to Life, the quirky detective show that seems to be on a different night each week. It started the season on Mondays at 10, and we've seen it on both Fridays and Wednesdays. But the Peacock Network seems to have faith in the show and wants a full 22 from Charlie Crews and crew.

This is good news. One, the show isn't a reality show. And two, it's a good show.

Life really is a good show... not life-like crime drama, more like Zen Sherlock Holmes, where the prose of the writing and the charm of the acting are the draw.

Differences between the iPhone 3G and the original

Adobe saw fit to replace my aging Treo 650 with a new iPhone 3G. Here are some quick thoughts on the differences between the original iPhone and the new iPhone 3G:

• I noticed the slightly yellowish color of the screen right away. I can't look at both my old phone and this new one without wanting the blue hue of the old unit, but most of the time, the yellow hue doesn't bother me.
• the curved body does feel good, but it means that the 3G won't fit in original dock
• Apple doesn't appear to sell a combo iPhone 3G and bluetooth headset dock, so now I have to charge both devices using a travel cable
• The headphones that came with the iPhone 3G has a distinct springy quality to it, which means it is infinitely more easy to detangle and put on. If we have to have wires, this is a marked improvement!
• 3G seems overrated at the moment, doesn't feel faster at getting data, but does seem faster at draining the battery
• GPS seems overrated at the moment, takes a long time to acquire an accurate reading, and by that point, the cell and wifi location has given me enough of a fix to suit the tasks at hand. GPS will only become useful when battery life can handle it for a whole day (along with data access and phone calls).
• does anyone sell a car adaptor that a) transmits over digital FM, and b) charges the phone without an annoying "This device might interfere" message popping up each time I plug it in? The Kensington I have kinda works with my original iPhone, but won't charge the 3G at all. And FWIW, I get that "interfere" message half the time I plug into the travel charger at my desk.
